sonnen appoints Marko Hein as Chief Digital Officer

sonnen sharpens its digital business for international growth and expansion with the appointment of Marko Hein as CDO.

Wildpoldsried, 1st December 2021 – sonnen announced today that it has appointed Marko Hein as its Chief Digital Officer. In this newly created role, Marko will be responsible for sonnen's digital business and the development of the company’s digital business models, customer touchpoints and to amplify sonnen’s internal digital processes.

His expertise to connect digital and physical products to create a unified customer experience will help sonnen deliver on its ambitions to bring clean energy and digitisation together.

Marko will report to Oliver Koch, CEO of sonnen. "Clean energy and digitalisation belong firmly together. As sonnen continues to grow, we want to ensure that our products inspire more people around the world to embrace the energy transition. With Marko’s background and experience, we can draw on his background as a digitisation specialist and his track record in creating a superb customer experience for our customers around the world," said Oliver Koch, CEO of sonnen.

Marko has been working in digital roles of international companies for over two decades. After holding management positions at Nintendo, LEGO and Telekom, amongst others, he was most recently Group Director Digital at Ravensburger AG, where he was responsible for the company’s digital strategy, digital business models and digital products.

He holds an MBA and is an honorary member of the supervisory board of the CDO Executive Circle.
