sonnen is offering its own battery storage unit subsidies in Austria
Customers who have received written rejection for storage unit subsidies in Austria can contact sonnen or a regional specialist partner by 31 May 2018. Subsidies of up to 2,500 euros (gross) per sonnenBatterie are possible.
Wildpoldsried, 27 March 2018 – The sonnen Group, global market leader for energy storage systems and operator of the largest energy sharing platform in the world, is setting up its own storage unit subsidies for Austria. Customers who receive written rejection for subsidies can secure manufacturer subsidies of up to 2,500 euros (gross) when they buy a sonnenBatterie. sonnen’s subsidies will be available until 31 May 2018.
Austrian state subsidies had already resulted in a high demand for photovoltaic systems and battery storage units. Within 15 minutes of its launch, more than 8,000 applications were received by the issuing agency OeMAG, exhausting the entire funding quota of six million euros. As a result, many applicants will not be receiving any storage subsidies.
"We had been eagerly anticipating more clean and affordable energy in Austria. Unfortunately, particularly for private self-providers with a photovoltaic system and storage unit, it didn’t reach the desired target,” says Philipp Schröder, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at sonnen.
"Our regional technicians in Austria are expected to have numerous customers who, despite their application, will not be receiving any subsidies for storage units. Through our sonnen subsidies, we would now like to provide support to all Austrians who will not be receiving subsidies."
sonnen subsidies are available for sonnenBatterie customers and for interested parties from competitive products. The prerequisite for claiming the manufacturer’s subsidies is a written rejection for subsidies from the issuing agency OeMAG from March 2018, and the purchase of a sonnenBatterie.
The sonnenBatterie is an intelligent, high-tech solar storage systems for clean, self-produced power. The energy self-sufficiency of a sonnenBatterie is around 75 percent of the annual energy required for an average household. The lithium iron phosphate cells used by sonnen are known to be particularly safe and durable. sonnen guarantees an output of at least 10,000 charge cycles.
