Software version: 1.15.6
Release date: November 4th, 2024
Installation mandatory: Yes
Features:
- [sonnenCore+, sonnenEvo] The new inverter firmware v1.16 is available as a mandatory update in the Commissioning Assistant for split phase systems with all USA and Puerto Rico grid codes. This firmware version prevents the system from shut down in offgrid mode if high inrush currents are present in the backup case. In case of overload the system stops the backup operation and disconnects itself from the backup loads. The system initiates a sequence of maximum 3 retries to reconnect and recover from this state if the cause of overload is removed.
- [sonnenBatterie 10 and sonnenBatterie 10 performance(+) without sonnenProtect] With this software, a new ‘Automatic Standby’ mode is introduced to increase the system efficiency. While the system is not able to provide any energy to the household, the system will go to Automatic Standby mode to reduce the self-consumption of the storage system. During Automatic Standby the eclipse will reduce its brightness to 20%. Due to technical requirements this feature is not available for systems in VPP or installed with a sonnenProtect.
Software version: 1.14.5
Release date: August 19th, 2024
Installation mandatory: Yes
Features:
- [All Products] With this software, we introduce a new feature called ‘Surplus Fullcharge’. When this feature is activated, and if the battery needs a full charge for battery care reasons, it will only charge from the PV generation to further optimise PV self-consumption. The battery will not draw any energy from the grid to cater the full charge. Be aware that the full charge will not be suspended until 100% State of Charge is reached. For the battery behaviour this means that the full charge can take significantly longer when this feature is enabled compared to full charge from grid. This feature can be enabled by the user from the Dashboard as shown below (disabled by default).
- More information on battery maintenance can be found in our blog article: https://sonnengroup.com/battery-maintenance/
